2019: Gifts for Vietnam

In 2019, we began our fundraising effort by selling beautiful red envelopes. In Asian cultures, we give out red envelopes containing money during the Lunar New Year to wish family and friends good luck for the year. Of course, money was not included when the envelopes were sold by Jolly Hands. Through our effort and the generosity of our community, we were able to make 500 goodie bags for Vietnam.

As our giving effort expanded, so did our volunteer team. We were glad to welcome new volunteers to help expedite the process of assembling the goodie bags this year.

Our team of partners, led by Hong Anh Tran, delivered 500 bags directly to the children of various orphanages in Vietnam: Lai Theu/Thu Dau 1 of Binh Duong; Xuan Tho/Xuan Loc of Dong Nai; and Minh Long, Quang Ngai
