May 2020: Gifts for Frontline Hospital Staff

As the world was learning how to navigate the Coronavirus health crisis at the beginning of 2020, the hospital staff were in the frontline to help and rescue many people, risking their own lives. To show our deepest gratitude, Jolly Hands reached out to various local hospitals, wanting to bring joy to the staff by gifting them goodie bags, as a small token of thanks and best wishes.

Due to the mandatory lockdown in May 2020, we took our fundraising effort to the Internet, and did our purchases of treats online. Following the safety precautions such as cleaning the packaging goods, and sanitizing our hands and working table, we ensured the cleanliness of assembling 300 goodie bags, with each consisted of various healthy snacks such as fruit bars, nuts, and ginseng drinks.

Along with our goodie bags, we handwrote thank-you cards to express our utmost appreciation to all staff during this time of crisis.

Our partners at the hospitals were able to deliver those 300 goodie bags and cards directly to the nurses and healthcare workers at the following local hospitals: Cerritos Regional Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Orange County Global Hospital, and Los Angeles Community Hospital.
